North Rhine-Westphalia’s excellent motorway network plan makes travel by car easy and comfortable and allows you to enjoy maximum flexibility on site. Take the major Rhine-Ruhr motorways A52, A3, A40 and A42 to reach Messe Essen. The signs for the exhibition centre will guide you easily to our site where you find ample parking spaces. From there, you can reach Messe Essen easily on foot or with the exhibition centre bus.
Arrival via A52
When driving from Bochum and Düsseldorf, please take exit no. 27 (Essen-Haarzopf) or no. 28 (Essen-Rüttenscheid). Follow Norbertstraße for about 900 m and then turn left at the traffic light toward Grugahalle/car park P1. After turning, you will see the entrance to car park P1 immediately on the right.
Arrival via B224
When driving from Essen city centre or A40, turn right onto Norbertstraße. Stay to the right in the exit lane toward the Grugahalle/P1 car park. After turning, you will see the entrance to car park P1 immediately on the right.

Parking fees:
During trade fair days (3-5 June 2025) the parking fee is 15 € per day, payable at ticket machines.
Visa requirements
Residents of countries in the EU do not require a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. For residents of several other countries a visa is required to enter Germany.

To ensure you obtain your visa before the trade fair starts, we recommend that you submit your visa application in due time. Applications can be made as early as three months before the time of entry.
